 tionalization of higher education\, research and practice of English-medi
 um Instruction (EMI) in non-native English-speaking countries have gained
  momentum. Although EMI has become popular\, it does not necessarily sugg
 est a smooth transition for all the stakeholders. This presentation discu
 sses the lack of congruence among stakeholders\, diversity in curriculum 
 design\, and difficulties encountered by the instructors and students in 
 EMI settings in Taiwan. Particular attention will be paid to potential wa
